Marvelous Spring conditions as we’ve been able to see the snowline on the trees of Super Morzine from the chalet most days as the snow just keeps falling this season. The contrast with last year has been unbelievable!!

Our guests have not been complaining. They’ve just enjoyed the snow and the fact that we’ve been able to travel a far on skis, as the PDS links to Super Chatel, Champoussin and Morgins have remained open well into April. Almost, unheard of!! The PDS tour has been done quite a few times with honorary guests Stevie and Laura and new guests the Firmstones and Frasers. All had never done the tour before or travelled so far on skis! Comments like ‘this is such a vast ski area you’d never find your way around. After a couple of days in Meribel we’ve always been able to find our own way”. And, of course everyone enjoyed lunch sitting on the suntrap that is the terrace at my favorite mountain watering hole, the ‘Café des Sports’ in Morgins which has been frequented often during the Spring.

The vinyl has also received it’s first airing of the season as Hugh, Rebecca, Francis and Claire attempted to educate their children. Ian Dury, Bowie, The Police, The Cars, Elvis Costello, Neil Diamond and U2 were all spun on the turntable that evening alongside a few glasses of fine Whiskey being consumed!!

Judy Scott Langley returned again this year in late March bringing her sons Benjamin and, for the first time little Harry. Benjamin is a true down hill champion in the making – followed me everywhere, sitting on my tail and turning every time I turned. Judy brought her friend Louise and daughter Rebecca back with her for a second year plus friends Susie/ Ali and their children for the first time. They had a great few days enjoying the skiing in Morzine/ Les Gets, taking lessons, playing many games after dinner and sampling a few glass of wine or two.

Here are the pics:
